Art

The school has been awarded a grant to be used towards an art project by the educational charity Ernest Cook Trust. The Ernest Cook Trust is one of the UK's leading educational charities who actively courage children and young people to learn from the land through hands-on educational opportunities.

So far we have undertaken Willow work, included a sheep(!),  with Susie Early from the village and more recently have also just completed a superb mural which was lead by local artist Imogen Harvey-Lewis. Plans for the final project are underway and we will reveal the theme and medium as soon as it is finalised.

We are Proud of Achieving...

Society and Charities
Under their own initiative the children raised £240 for the charity EPHC. This amount more than covers the cost of sponsoring three children in Nepal for 1 year. This is a yearly commitment which the school has made to these children who would not have been able to attend school without such a sponsorship.

Debating a Court Case
The year 5 and 6 children were given the oppurtunity of acting for the defendant in a mock trial at Stroud Magistrates courts. This is part of the yearly Stroud debating competition.Although the school did not win the court case, they were judged to be the better debating  and finished in the top 10 schools overall.
