Kilve Court Year 6 Residential
We got to Kilve Court after a two hour drive on the bus. After unloading all the bags, we walked to the canteen and had hotdogs and chips.
After an amazing lunch we got ready for a long walk to a rocky beach. At the beach I found a dozen small crabs and a huge black spotted Crab. On the way back, I bought an ice cream and ate it in the rain.
Super teams was when we split into six teams whilst instructor Maggie asked us 14 questions. You probably would of guessed by now but most of the boys went together, same with the girls. After another game we went to bed in the cozy, old building.
Team building (the next day) was where we found out what teams the class would be in for the next few days. I had a great team. In team building we played a few games one of which was the mine game, where we had a grid and if you stepped on the wrong square, on the way to the other side BOOM!!! You get bombed.
The afternoon on Tuesday was the coldest, wettest time at Kilve Court. When we went to Archery and flung our arrows on the target, I couldn’t wait until we ran into the cozy building. As I stepped up to the mark I pulled back the arrow and flung it at the board.
I wanted to watch the football but annoyingly we had to go on a night walk in the freezing weather, but felt better after a wet, muddy and exhausting hike.
Next morning was Abseiling which was the most fun activity where we were really nervous at the top, but we got over our fears and climbed down the steep tall abseiling tower. After a scary experience on Abseiling we moved on to Grass sledging. Grass sledging was where you sat in a toboggan like sledge with tracks that would slide down hills. The main thing that was different with a grass sledge is if you want to turn you lean the opposite direction to the way you want to go.
