School Opening Hours 8:45 a.m. - 15:15 p.m (32.5 hours per week) childen can come into classrooms from 8:30 a.m.

At Sheepscombe Primary School, and our Little Lambs Nursery, we are incredibly proud of the welcoming, nurturing environment we offer to our children. We believe in fostering a love for learning, creativity, a strong sense of community and above all else, creating an inspirational setting where all children flourish.

We currently have a few spaces available in both early-years and several of our classes and warmly encourage any prospective parents to get in touch. We can arrange a visit to the school at a time that suits you and help you through the admission process.

We are a small, rural Gloucestershire school who place great importance on our sense of family and community. Our families join us from Sheepscombe, Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester as well as many of the surrounding villages.

Our Little Lambs provision offers a warm, friendly start to early education. It’s a space where young children are encouraged to explore, play, and build early foundations for learning in an environment designed with their needs in mind.

We provide an incredibly rich thematic curriculum supported with a wide range of trips and experiences including regular forest school, giving children the opportunity to find what they excel in and thrive. We organise a range of events which bring the whole school together in mixed age learning for traditions such as apple day and our nativity parade. Our summer musical productions are a collaboration of the whole school and supplemented by regular productions from the drama club.

Our dedicated staff work closely with each child to help them reach their full potential, all while making learning fun and engaging. With a focus on individual attention, our students thrive in an intimate, supportive setting that encourages close-knit relationships and growth.

We celebrate our community’s spirit, with school events, outdoor learning opportunities and a range of extracurricular activities that support every child’s development.
